was November 20, 1989 when the General Assembly of the United Nations approved the UN Convention on the Rights of opening it up to ratification by the states. Since then, many strides have been made and today those countries that have made this important commitment towards children is 193. Missing only the United States of America and Somalia.
Every year UNICEF organizes many events during this event (you find them on the site http://www.unicef.t/ ).
Sunday, November 23 meeting in Milan for the IX march for the rights of children and young people, just organized by UNICEF and Arciragazzi.
will start at 14.30 from the gardens of Porta Venezia, the procession that will wind through the streets of the center until the end in Piazza San Babila. The march will be a veritable feast, full of sound and color, with the presence of clowns, jugglers and stilt walkers.
Last year I participated and it was really pleasant to walk through the center of Milan in the company of a horde of children to enjoy the special walk.
