Però la sua forza e la sua dolcezza continuano a raccogliere ammirazione tra persone di diversi orientamenti anche oggi.

Amnesty International invita tutti all'aperitivo dei diritti umani, venerdì 13 marzo alle ore 18.30 presso il Café Lumiere di Oreno . Un happy hour con cocktail, buffet e quattro chiacchiere in buona compagnia.
L'iniziativa ha il fine di promuovere l'attività di difesa dei diritti umani del gruppo di Vimercate e di cercare nuovi attivisti all'insegna dello slogan " Diventa anche tu attivista dei diritti umani".

Così commenta Mimosa Moroni, responsabile del gruppi Amnesty International di Vimercate.

"Il gruppo di Vimercate di Amnesty International segue molti casi di violazioni di diritti umani. Per esempio ora siamo impegnati in un'azione riguardante il Guatemala con cui chiediamo che venga fatta giustizia dei massacri, quasi tutti impuniti, avvenuti durante il conflitto interno del 1960-1996 e che vengano risarcite le vittime di tali violazioni dei diritti umani.

Ci impegna molto anche l'attività in difesa dei diritti umani in Messico. Per esempio in questi giorni stiamo sostenendo una campagna per la liberazione immediata e incondizionata di cinque difensori dei diritti degli indigeni che sono stati incarcerati a causa delle loro campagne per richiedere il miglioramento dei diritti economici, sociali e culturali del popolo indigeno. Amnesty li ha adottati come prigionieri di coscienza.
Questi sono solo due esempi delle azioni che affrontiamo.
