Sunday, May 17, 2009, at Via dei Mercanti in Milan, from 19 to 19.30, the joint demonstration will take place in town for the World Day against Homophobia. The event, inspired by the Anglo-Saxon Day of Silence, will be a silent sit-in, and will be preceded by distribution of information material to the streets of downtown by volunteers gagged (From 17.30 to 19.00).
This event comes from the need to inform the citizens, directly, the existence and further growth of the dangerous phenomena homophobic, both in their material manifestation (physical violence, acts of blatant discrimination, etc..) Is in their general presence in the socio-cultural and political climate Italian.
